FCCCND has been providing counselling and support services to our communities for almost 75 years. We offer individual, couple and family counselling, with specialized programs for survivors and perpetrators of domestic violence, children who witness violence, those experiencing loss, depression and/or anxiety, as well as other issues such as past trauma. Areas of expertise include art therapy and TIP (Transition to Independence Process) for adolescents and young adults from 13 to 29.
Front Door Child & Youth Mental Health
Front Door offers longer-term and walk-in counseling services to children and young people. If you are: a teen, a parent of a child under 18 years old, a young person under the age of 12 with your parents’ consent, or a young person 12 or older (you can attend with an adult if you wish) then walk-In Counselling is for you. No appointment is needed–just come in and a counsellor will meet with you. You are always welcome to bring any other significant/supportive person with you to a Walk-In session.
Front Door offers Walk-In services at three different locations:

· Tuesday: 12pm – 6:30pm at 35 Dickson St, Cambridge (Lutherwood)

EAP (Employment Assistance Program)
Check to see if you have an EAP – Employment Assistance Program through your work- place which offers free limited confidential access to trained counsellors. Your health insurance and benefit coverage may also provide an annual allowance for psychological services. Clergy, spiritual leaders or funeral home directors may also be of help.
