The 10th Annual Jacob Ranton Memorial Basketball Tournament and Online Auction is back this year!
32 high-school boys’ basketball teams from across Ontario and Newfoundland will be competing for the honor of being crowned Tournament champions! But, the Jacob Ranton Memorial Basketball Tournament isn’t just about basketball; it provides an opportunity for athletes to learn about mental health and suicide prevention. As well, proceeds from the tournament and online action support the work of the Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council

Free Community Skate with the Cambridge RedHawks
Friday, January 3rd, 2025, 12pm to 2pm
The Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council has partnered with the Cambridge RedHawks to host a FREE community skate on Friday, January 3rd, 2025 from 12pm to 2pm at the Galt Arena Gardens, 98 Shade St. Cambridge.
After enjoying some time on the ice, stop by the WRSPC booth to pick up resources and enjoy some complimentary hot chocolate.
Crochet with Karyn Returns!
We’re excited to share that Crochet with Karyn is returning as a registered program with Makerspace at Langs Youth Wellness Hub!
Designed for youth in grades 6 to 12, this group will meet monthly from January to June. Youth will have the opportunity to learn the foundational crochet skills, including pattern reading and basic stitches. They will use these skills to contribute to a collaborative group crochet project.
This is a free group designed for beginners, with supplies provided. There is limited space available; please register by emailing laural@langs.org.
