Cambridge

Idea Exchange is Cambridge’s public library, with five different locations. In addition to having inclusive and welcoming spaces, Idea Exchange provides access to books, music, movies, and more! They also host various events and activities across a variety of interests for all ages to enjoy!

Kitchener

The City of Kitchener maintains and online calendar featuring community events, including those that are run by the City. The calendar includes both free and paid events.

Similarly to Cambridge, Kitchener also has neighbourhood associations that are resident led. The associations offer programs and events for children, youth, and adults, such as dance classes, drop-in sports activities, and coffee chats. Wonders of Winter- A Festival of Lights in Waterloo Park: Wonders of Winter – A Festival of Lights in Waterloo Park
Through its creative light displays, Wonders of Winter helps to bring light during the darkness of winter from November 30th, 2024 to January 3rd, 2025. In addition the light displays, there is a log house tour, and a planned story night with the Waterloo Public Library.
Community & Rec Centres: Community and rec centres – City of Waterloo
Community and recreation centres in Waterloo offer opportunities to exercise and meet others, often at a limited cost. For example, residents can use the indoor walking and running tracks at the Waterloo Memorial Complex for free.
