Welcome to WRSPC’s 2020 Wellbeing Advent Calendar. The holiday season is different for everyone – for some it is a time of joy, for others in may be a painful, sad, or lonely time of the year. Holidays can sometimes bring about or highlight grief, loss, loneliness, or past trauma. This year in 2020 as we are in the midst of a global pandemic, the Holidays may present an even tougher challenge or may present new challenges for those who might typically find the holidays joyful. This year, the holidays will look different.

While we continue to protect our loved ones and our community by adhering to current Public Health guidelines around COVID-19 including physical distancing measures that prohibit large gatherings with friends or family, we also must find ways to protect our mental health and wellness while abiding by these guidelines. Like a traditional Advent Calendar, each day from December 1 to December 24 we will be ‘opening the door’ on various resources, suggestions, and ideas for practicing self-care and building resilience through this season.

Each Monday, we will update this calendar online to show the week’s content. We will also be sharing each day’s content daily on our social media channels (Facebook, twitter, instagram, and linkedin).
