World Suicide Prevention Day provides an opportunity for the community to gather, to remember, and to heal. Each year the WRSPC hosts an annual World Suicide Prevention Day event, encouraging anyone in our community to join. While the event is centered around acknowledging those whose lives have been impacted by suicide, it is also about providing mental wellbeing education and resources to everyone in our community, and providing a gathering space where individuals can feel connection and belonging.
This year, we’ve worked hard at providing an adapted event for our community to collectively gather for remembrance and healing, and for education and awareness around suicide, suicide prevention, and mental wellbeing.
As much of our world looks different this year while we continue to prioritize the public health and safety of our communities, so too will our event look different this year. World Suicide Prevention Day 2020 will be a virtual event involving a variety of at-home and on-line activities. For all the event details, visit the event page here >
