Workplaces, including businesses and community organizations, have an opportunity to engage in suicide prevention awareness and mental health promotion to support the safety and wellbeing of their staff.
With the opportunity to customize based on your organization, staff and the community you serve, this one-hour general education presentation will provide an overview of suicide prevention, including: understanding suicide, identifying invitations for help by those who are struggling, the resources that are available in the community, and strength-based approaches for developing well-being and resiliency.
This presentation can be offered in-person or virtually for businesses located in Region of Waterloo. If you are located outside of Waterloo Region, please contact us to discuss presentation opportunities.
We help to create a suicide alert community by providing access to suicide alertness and intervention trainings such as LivingWorks’ Start, SafeTalk, and ASIST.
Currently, we provide free licenses for Start training to interested individuals in the community. We also work with workplaces and community organizations to provide Start or SafeTalk trainings for their volunteers or staff.
