Community Counselling Agencies in Waterloo Region

Community mental health or counselling agencies are typically nonprofit organizations who strive to provide affordable mental health services, including counselling and mental health workshops.

The Counselling Collaborative of Waterloo Region is a unique partnership between six non-profit counselling agencies in Waterloo Region. They work together to make it easier to find local and affordable counselling in the region.

Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health 

About: 

Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health was established in 2023, through the unification of Carizon Family and Community Services, KW Counselling Services, and Monica Place. 

Camino adopts a “No Wrong Door Approach” to its services, meaning that no matter how someone reaches out to them, they will journey alongside them to ensure they receive the support that best fits their unique needs. 

Camino serves all ages, and has specialized programs for immigrant and refugees, 2SLGBTQIA+ Individuals, and youth.

Interfaith Counselling Centre

Interfaith was established in 1981; as a non-profit organization, they strengthen the fabric of their community by equipping individuals, couples, and families to realize their emotional wellness and triumph over life’s challenges. 

Their approach is based in being person-centered, using evidence-based techniques, collaboration and confidentiality.

Porchlight was founded in 1940, as a small group of community members supporting local families. In 1961, the Family Counselling Centre was incorporated as a non-profit organization. In 2022, the organization rebranded to Porchlight Counselling and Addiction services, renewing their long-standing commitment to Cambridge and North Dumfries.
