GardenKitchener, also known as the Kitchener Horticultural Society, traces its roots back to 1872, when Kitchener was the town of Berlin. Locally known for its stewardship of the Rockway Botanical Gardens, GardenKitchener also hosts events throughout the year.

Region of Waterloo Library- Seed Library
Seed Library – Region of Waterloo Library
The Region of Waterloo Library offers its patrons access to the Seed Library. Patrons can borrow seeds from the library and plant them at home. To “return” the seeds, you simply wait until the end of the growing season, collect seeds from a few plants, and return them to the library.
Waterloo Region Master Gardeners
Waterloo Region Master Gardeners – Home
The Waterloo Region Master Gardeners (previously Kitchener Master Gardeners) are volunteers dedicated to sharing their knowledge of horticulture with the local community. Master Gardeners offer their expertise to Communities in Bloom, Horticultural Societies, Neighbourhood Associations, Church groups and special interest groups such as the Head Injury Association. They join in local community activities including Seedy Saturday, Earth Day, the Dandelion Festival, Herb Festivals and Home and Garden Shows (such as Canada Blooms).
