#WellbeingAdventCalendar2020
We’ve reached the final day today of our Wellbeing Advent Calendar, and thank anyone who has been following along with this series as we’ve acknowledged the challenges we all may face this year as we see our December holiday celebrations such as Hanukkah, Christmas, or Kwanzaa impacted by COVID-19. We may not be able to follow the holiday traditions we typically would, or may not be able to follow them in the same ways we have in the past, since we continue to come together as a community in spirit as we stay apart physically and follow public health guidelines.
For our final day, we’d like to offer for anyone who is finding it difficult to cope through this season our list of resources for maintaining mental wellness during COVID-19. If, at any time during the holiday season you find yourself experiencing difficult emotions, there are still supports available and you are not alone. Reach out to one of the supports on this list, such as CMHA’s Here 24/7 in Waterloo Region, or Kid’s Help Phone’s Crisis Text Line for young people and adults across Canada, which operate 24/7/365 and will be happy to help you this season.
