Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council is a non-profit volunteer organization, funded by private donations from individuals and organizations. All donations are directed towards educational materials, brochures, pamphlets and/or community opportunities to help us work towards our mission of reducing suicidal behavior and its impact on individuals, families and communities.
A donation to the Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council could save your friend. A friend that you may not know is in trouble until it’s too late.
- 30 donations of $100 pays for 5000 pieces of prevention literature to be distributed among our community
- 20 donations of $75 allows a classroom of students to be exposed to “Safe Talk”, a three hour suicide alertness program
- $175 trains a professional, or a leader or a coach – or any community member in ASIST, a two day course on suicide prevention
- a donation of $1500 allows a person that has attempted suicide to participate in Skills for Safer Living, a 20 week program focused on developing new coping skills with an emphasis on living
We are very grateful to the caring and generous donors who support our vision and goals. If you would like to make a contribution to our council please:
